A-Bat began the season by winning three games over Tier One, Gamerz Haven and Auto Credit.

Ryan Anderson and Doug Trapani split 10 hits with two home runs apiece as A-Bat defeated Tier One.

Cody Nelson, Steve Trapani, Bill Lawson, Derrick Harper and Brandon Gifford added four hits for the winners.

Richard Allen and NeKyle Taylor added four hits with two homers each in the win. Mike Sposato and Jaylen Matve led Tier One.

A-Bat turned back Gamerz Haven with Harper having two doubles and a triple and Doug Trapani and Gifford adding three hits with a home run each.

Dave Saxton delivered two hits with a triple, Steve Trapani, Allen, Lawson and Angelo Rivera two hits with a double while Taylor added a homer in the win.

For Gamerz Haven, Ricky Gonzalez and Tom Papaserge had two hits.

Finally, A-Bat made it a three-game sweep by stopping Auto Credit with Doug Trapani homering three times among his four hits.

Anderson and Harper stroked three hits with a homer and a triple while Lawson, Allen and Steve Trapani also added three hits with a double in the win.


The Gowanda Merchants began the season by taking care of the Yankees No. 2, 11-2, at the Al Stuhlmiller Field in Dunkirk.

Jason Howard got the Yankees off to a good start by hammering a two-run home run over the left field wall in the bottom of the first inning.

Then, Gowanda took over with two runs each in the second and third innings, and in the fourth got three runs on Justin Fish’s triple.

Kevin Smith cracked a two-run double in the Gowanda sixth.

Rick Johnson went five innings for the victory while John Greene preserved the win the last two innings.

Kiernan Harris, Mark Benton and Greene had two hits for Gowanda.


Matt Dallas struck out 11 and contributed a single as the Falconer Lions Club toppled Ideal Coatings, 11-3.

Bryan Baglia drilled three hits with a triple, Mark Wilcox added two singles, Nate Seaholm a double and Brock Johnson a single for the Lions.

Addison Dove and Kaden Dove singled in the loss.


Veterans of Modern Warfare defeated Ecklof’s Bakery with Elijah Rojas’ hitting leading the way.

Josh Loomis was the defensive standout for Ecklof’s.


Cal Ricker, James Nixon and Sean O’Brien had hits with Ricker doubling as JT/Lobb’s Mobil beat Basil, 15-7.

For Basil, Jeremy Vellon delivered a hit and Caden Salvaggio did a fine job on the mound.


Xavier Foust, Alexi Spence and Reed Slade stroked three hits and Jayden Elifritz was the defensive standout as ERA Team Zahn defeated Kendall Club, 5-1.

Dominick Piazza, Maxwell Knight and Tom Pratton split six hits while Cole Bloomquist was outstanding defensively for Kendall Club.
