Help Portrait Helps Again

On Sunday, May 4, the Southwestern High School Photography Club hosted its third annual Help-Portrait Chautauqua event at The Resource Center on Dunham Avenue in Celoron. The event brings together local and regional photographic professionals with a group of high school volunteers to shoot, print and deliver professional portraits to guests free of charge. This year’s highlight was the return of three Southwestern alumni to man the studios along with local professional Dana Nordlund. Guests were treated to hair and makeup styling prior to their sitting courtesy of Rebecca Tuccio and Christine Purslow, and DJ John Gallagher serenaded everyone.

In three years, the Help-Portrait event has given away free portraits to over 250 families. The event would not be possible without the gracious assistance of the Resource Center administration and staff, our generous donors, and all the volunteers who donated their time and services.
