Drug Bust Nets City Man
A Jamestown man was taken into custody Wednesday after an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics led investigators to his 75 Barrett Ave. residence.
At approximately 12:25 p.m., investigators with the Jamestown Police Department and the New York State Police CNET executed a search warrant and arrested 37-year-old McKinley Barnes.
Barnes was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana after investigators discovered a half-pound of marijuana, a quantity of fentanyl patches and a large quantity of cash in his apartment.
“We will continue to aggressively approach this issue and continue to make arrests and execute search warrants at this pace,” said Captain Robert F. Samuelson, division commander of the Jamestown Police Department.
