Jamestown Fire Department Pumping Dozens Of Flooded Basements

Jamestown fire crews responded to multiple homes Wednesday that experienced significant flooding in their basements.

According to Battalion Chief Russo of the Jamestown Fire Department, approximately 90 calls for service were made to the department regarding flooded basements.

Fire crews responded to city homes throughout the day, placing water pumps in basements and ridding them of water.

Russo said that many residents cancel their request for help as the water in their basements gradually drains away.
