Ashville Man Jailed On Sexual Abuse Charges
NORTH HARMONY – An Ashville man is behind bars after police took him into custody on sex charges Tuesday.
An investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Child Protective Services of Chautauqua County led to the arrest of William P. Stratton, 39, of 3001 Butts Road, Ashville. Stratton is charged with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, third-degree rape, third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
After an arrest warrant was obtained from Judge Peacock from North Harmony Court, Stratton was committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 property bond.
According to a press release from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged sexual conduct against a child took place from December 2009 through August 2013 at various times in the town of North Harmony.
