Chautauqua Shores Chorus Holds Spring Banquet

The Chautauqua Shores Chorus recently met at Miller’s Grove in Fentonville for the group’s annual spring banquet.

Elected officers are Audrey Zimmerman, team leader; Elaine Crossley, secretary; Joan Baer, treasurer; Elaine Kimbleton, program chairman; Marge Possehl, costumes; Elaine Gregory, historian; June Burgett, membership; and Dee Stewart, who continues as director. The members chose Claudia Wittenbrook as Most Valuable Member for 2013.

New members are invited to join the Chautauqua Shores Chorus. Any woman from any age group who enjoys singing is welcome to come to a practice. Rehearsals are at 7 p.m. Mondays at The First Baptist Church, Jamestown, enter using the Fifth Street entrance. The chorus sings four-part harmony, a capella, barbershop style music which includes a variety including gospel, seasonal numbers and patriotic songs.

The Chautauqua Shores Chorus are booking arrangements for those interested in their services. The chorus will sing most anywhere including long term care facilities, hospitals, restaurants, personal homes, etc. To set a time and place, and to arrange compensation, call Elaine at 720-7262.
