Walter Wins 100 Meters At WNY Track & Field Classic

LANCASTER – Christina Walter claimed the 100 meters for Maple Grove with a time of 12.7 in the Western New York Girls Track & Field Classic on Saturday.

Rebecca Rew of Jamestown finished eighth in the triple jump (30-11) and 10th in the long jump (13-7). Teammate Chloe Knapp was 13th in the long jump (29-3).

Olivia Reinhardt was seventh in the discus with 88-2 for Jamestown.

LaStar Farmer was 14th in the shot put (26-3) and 15th in the discus (72-9) and Trisha Waite 22nd (53-5) for the Lady Red Raiders.

Samantha Beaver came in 17th (31.61) in the 200, Katelyn Nuse was 21st in the 1,500 (6:26.05) and Miranda Horton was 22nd in the 1,500 (6:26.98) for Jamestown.

Jenna Silzle was ninth in the 400 (1:09.77) and Davina Williams 21st (1:17.79) for the Lady Red Raiders.

Rachel Johnson came in 19th in the 800 (2:52.34) and Jamestown teammate Shine DeHarder tied for 16th in the high jump (3-6).

Jamestown also was seventh in the 1,600 relay with a time of 5:01.71.
