Political Cartoon A Bit Misleading

The Post-Journal (May 13, 2014, page A4) had a cartoon which I suppose was an attempt to show Jesus and the Supreme Court relative to the public prayer issue.

Please note that Jesus prayed publically on many occasions (even before 5,000 at a time). There is a difference between asking God to help you with a problem in your life and asking God to bless (publically) our country for example.

The cartoon was a bit ambiguous; but, if the intention was to say public prayer is not okay, then the cartoon is inaccurate and misleading. Although we cannot attribute the cartoon directly to a P-J cartoonist, I can’t help but wonder; what are you trying to say?
