SHERIDAN – Katelyn T. Kozak, 26, of Sheridan was charged Monday with second-degree forgery. At approximately 10 a.m., deputies took Kozak into custody without incident at 11309 Center Road in Sheridan. Chautauqua County Court previously issued a warrant for Kozak for a felony charge of forgery. She was taken to county jail where she is awaiting arraignment.


Jeybinson Morales-Hernandez, 20, of Lakewood was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 11:53 p.m., an officer stopped a car driven by Morales-Hernandez for traffic infractions. Further investigation revealed that Morales-Hernandez was in possession of a small bag of marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

An 18-year-old Falconer resident was charged Monday with unauthorized speed contest and speed not reasonable or prudent. The 18-year-old was stopped for racing another vehicle on East Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood. Both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed when they were observed by police. The driver will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
