Cassadaga Valley Girls Top Panama

PANAMA- Cassadaga Valley stretched its Division 2 West softball record to 3-4 after taking care of Panama (6-5, 6-6) 19-7 on the road Monday.

Alyssa Hahn picked up the win with one strikeout and one walk in five innings of work. Jenna Caskey hurled the rest of the way with a strikeout and a walk as well.

Carly Abbate took the loss for Panama and walked five through four innings before being relieved by Sarah Osborne, who struck out a pair.

Caskey was dominant at the plate with four singles. Brooke Johnson had two singles, Becca Rotheleder a home run and Madison Reuther a double in the win.

For the Lady Panthers, Taylor Bowen had three hits, including a home run, Lenart had two hits with a double, and Madalyn Bowen had a triple.


Chautauqua Lake (8-1, 12-5) defeated Brocton, 11-0.

Olivia Anderson pitched a complete game shutout with nine strikeouts, no walks and six hits allowed.

Ashley Giddy had a home run, a double and a single with three RBIs for the Lady Thunderbirds. Ashley Moulton had a home run, a double and a single with three RBIs.

For Brocton, the only player with two hits was Delcamp who ripped a double and a single.
