Falconer Girls Run To Victory

FALCONER – The Falconer Lady Golden Falcons (3-1) earned an 84-48 Division 1 girls track and field win over Olean (0-4) on Thursday.

Shantel Williams was a double winner in taking home the 100 meters (12.8) and 200 (26.7). Mackenzie Wright was also a double winner in the 400 (1:09.9) and triple jump (34-10) while Alyssa Brooks won the shot put (31-10) and discus (115-3).

For Olean Alex Caputi won both the 100 (17.4) and 400 (1:17.2) hurdles.

For the Lady Warriors, Ryanne Yehl was double winner, taking first place in the triple jump (33-) and the high jump (5-5), a personal best in both and she surpassed her best in the high jump by four inches.

J. Nye was a double winner for the Warriors, taking first in the 800 meters (2:21.3) and the high jump (5-6).

Matt McCarthy doubled for Fredonia by winning the 100 meters (11.4) and the 200 meters (23.6), and Matt Civilette was a double winner in the long jump (19-7) and the triple jump (42-5).
