CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WESTFIELD – Dillon Ward, 21, of Westfield was charged Tuesday with fugitive from justice. The Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Ward on failure to appear on a charge of conspiracy-receiving stolen property. The Pennsylvania criminal charges were based on a lengthy investigation conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police which involved a burglary of a residence on Route 5 in Westfield. Ward was arrested at his residence on Shore Drive in Westfield and remanded to the county jail.

FORESTVILLE – A 17-year-old female youth was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment. At approximately 5:15 a.m., deputies responded to Versailles Road for the report of a past-tense harassment. An investigation on scene determined that a female youth victim had been punched by another female youth at Forestville Central School. The female suspect will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA – Jared L. Hunt, 24, of Mayville was charged Wednesday with failure to keep right, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 4:15 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 430 in Ellery for a traffic violation. The driver – Hunt – was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana as well as a controlled substance. Hunt will appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SALAMANCA – Cheyenne L. Armstrong, 33, of Salamanca was charged Wednesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to use turn signal. While patrolling Salamanca, a patrol observed a vehicle being operated by Armstrong failing to use a turn signal when making a left turn. Further investigation revealed that Armstrong had a suspended license. She will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

Jonathan Riddell, 32, of Conewango Valley was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated and a window tint violation after a traffic stop for a window tint violation on Route 241 in Randolph. The trooper detected a strong odor of alcohol, and after field sobriety tests, Riddell was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to the State Police barracks in Jamestown for processing where a blood alcohol content of .13 was obtained. Riddell will appear in Randolph Court at a later date. He was released to a third party.
