Community Yard Sales To Be Held

The Mayville/ Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce will host the Annual Communitywide Yard Sales for the Mayville and Chautauqua areas on Saturday, May 24. All Mayville and Chautauqua area residents are invited to participate in the event. All residential home participants will have their sales location address and accompanying map designation number for an included map on a handout that will be available online at the Mayville Chautauqua Chamber Facebook page as well as its website at mayvillechautauqua.org. The lists will also be available at area chamber member businesses two weeks before the yard sales, during the day of the sales, as well as through the chamber office by calling 753-3113 or emailing to dmarsala@chautauquachamber.org. Contact the chamber by the deadline date of May 7 to be listed or for more information on the annual sales.

Library Holding Book Signing

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Library will host local author Beth Peyton on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a chat and signing of her Chautauqua Memoir, “Clear Skies, Deep Water.” Come hear about how the power of nature and community can heal and inspire. Books will be available for sale. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. Call 386-2274 to register.

AOC To Ride In Frewsburg Area

On Wednesday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes in the Frewsburg area. Participants will meet at the Jamestown Audubon Center on Riverside Road at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Pat Spicer at 814-757-8331.

Cemetery Assn. To Hold Meeting

Library To Hold Spring Book Sale

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library at 12 W. Summit St. will hold its spring book sale May 8-10. Hardcover books will be $1; paperbacks will be 50 cents and three for $1; magazines will be 10 cents each; videos and books-on-tape will be 50 cents each or three for $1; DVDs will be $1 and on Saturday there will be a bag sale from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. where a bag can be filled with books for one low price. The hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 8, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 9 and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 10.

SINCLAIRVILLE- The Charlotte Center Cemetery Association annual meeting will be held in the Sinclairville Library on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Rummage And Bake Sale Set

WESTFIELD – The United Methodist Church of Westfield, 101 E. Main St., Westfield, will hold a rummage and bake sale Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a bag sale beginning at noon.
