Destination: 129 Main

RANDOLPH – If you are a crafter, particularly of ceramics, your next destination should be 129 Main St., in the hamlet of Randolph: which, coincidentally just happens to be the address of the Ceramic EmPOURium, and proprietor Anthony Ercolani.

While the pouring of greenware, which becomes bisque after it is kiln-fired, is Ercolani’s passion, the shop also offers antiques and collectibles, with 12 vendors offering their items for sale.

“It’s great to be able to offer space to local artisans who don’t have a place to market,” Ercolani said.

Ceramic EmPOURium will be offering classes for parties and groups.

“You don’t have to come to a class. I know how busy people are these days. Just come in anytime, and paint,” Ercolani added.

The shop currently has over 14,000 molds available for pouring into greenware, and also offers kiln firing of the pieces onsite.

An interesting portion of Ercolani’s business is the creating of pet urns, which are available in many shapes and sizes.

“These are items not usually offered in most ceramic shops,” Ercolani said.

Ceramic EmPOURium is becoming so popular that it will soon be expanding to the second floor of the building where it’s located.

“Come in and browse our antiques and collectible items, find an item to paint, or plan a fun gathering with your friends to paint together. Just make us your next destination,” Ercolani invited.
