JCC Music Ensembles Set To Perform Tuesday

The Jamestown Community College choir, concert band, vocal jazz ensemble, and jazz ensemble will showcase a variety of music styles during a combined performance at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Scharmann Theatre.

Admission is $5, general public; $3, area students and senior citizens; and $2, JCC Faculty Student Association members. Tickets can be purchased by calling the JCC box office, 338-1187.

The college choir, directed by Brian A. Bogey. Selections include “Hallelujah Amen,” “Sing We and Chant It,” “Shut de Do,” “Ain’t She Sweet,” “Seasons of Love,” and a medley from “Les Miserables.”

The vocal jazz ensemble, directed by Carol Svensen, will present “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Let it Be Me,” and “Route 66.”

Ralph Rasmusson will direct the jazz ensemble in its performances of “Moonlight Serenade,” “A String of Pearls,” “Ballad for Holly,” “Cute,” “Take Five,” and “Zoot Suit Riot.”

The concert band, also directed by Rasmusson, will present “Vaquero Concert March,” “Scenes from the Louvere,” “Music for Winds and Percussion,” “Who’s Who in Navy Blue,” “Tristch-Tratsch Polka,” and music from “Wicked.”
