CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
HANOVER – Jesse J. Silvagnia, 18, of Silver Creek, Joshua P. Kilburn, 19, of Forestville and an unnamed male youth were charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 1:03 a.m., deputies observed a vehicle committing a traffic violation in Hanover. Upon stopping the vehicle, deputies found the above subjects in possession of marijuana. They will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Anthony M. Spitale, 18, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment. At approximately 4:07 p.m., officers responded to Prendergast Avenue for a reported domestic incident in progress. Officers learned that Spitale had entered the residence of a female victim, engaged in a verbal argument with her and threw an object at her. The female victim had a valid order of protection against Spitale. She ran away from the residence after the encounter. Spitale subsequently began to damage property inside the apartment, breaking a glass window pane. He left prior to police arrival, but was taken into custody a short time later. Spitale was found to have property belonging to the victim. He is currently in city jail pending arraignment.
Dustin D. Pickett, 25, of Jamestown was charged Friday with criminal impersonation and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. At approximately 2 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on William Street near Glasgow Avenue. Pickett was the driver and gave a false name to police. Further investigation revealed that Pickett had a valid warrant out of Jamestown. He also had a suspended driver’s license. He is currently in city jail pending arraignment.
Wayne B. Wright III, 43, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. At approximately 11:50 p.m., officers took the report of a stolen motor vehicle from 102 McKinley Ave. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim who stated that Wright took her vehicle without permission. Wright was located at approximately 2:18 a.m. Friday when he returned to his McKinley Avenue residence. He was transported to city jail and is awaiting arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SALAMANCA – Davis C. Persons, 32, of Salamanca was arrested Wednesday on a Family Court bench warrant at approximately 9:10 p.m. He was transferred to the Sheriff’s Department and taken to New Albion Court for arraignment. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. He is due in Olean Court at a later date.
