Goodbye, And Good Luck

A common phrase that I’ve heard area residents repeat time and again is that there is little to do in this town, but I’ve found that there’s little truth to that belief.

I hope that my time here has shown purveyors of such a misconception that there’s much to discover for those who are willing to look with eyes wide open.

This column will serve as my last opinion piece for The Post-Journal. My final day with the organization is Friday, but I’ll have a few pieces go to publication over the weekend as well. Feel free to stop by Jamestown Community College’s Rock Fest tomorrow evening if you’d like to say goodbye.

The decision of who will take on the challenge of features and entertainment has not yet been made, so it’s hard to say what will happen going forward. But, I feel the editorial staff here sees value in this beat, and I surmise that someone passionate about the community and arts will step forward.

Farewell readers, it has been a great pleasure serving as an ambassador for the distinct.

As per usual, here are the highlights and happenings going on in the area.
