Westfield Proposes Water Rate Hike
WESTFIELD – Westfield village and town residents may need to dig in their pockets a little bit deeper to pay for water.
There will be a public hearing May 19 at 7 p.m. in Eason Hall to discuss proposed water rate increases.
The current billing for village residents on the first 4,000 gallons is $1,014. For town residents, the first 4,000 gallons is $1,451.
If approved, village residents will see an increase to $1,021. Town residents will see an increase to $1,461.
Current usage charges range from $2.50 to $3.50 for village residents, and $3.75 to $5.25 for town residents. They are proposed to change from $3.70 to $4.70 for village residents and $5.55 to $7.05 for town residents.
All village and town residents are welcome to attend the public hearing on this matter.
