Musall Leads Eagles To Victory

FRANKLINVILLE – Phalla Musall swung an impressive bat for Ellicottville on Friday.

Musall delivered two doubles and two singles while driving in two runs as the Eagles downed Franklinville (2-3, 3-5), 10-5, in Division 2 East baseball.

Tom Easton cracked a three-run home run in the first inning and later connected for an RBI double for the Eagles, who had a 7-0 lead after two innings.

Tyler Slaughenhaught hit a home run in the win in the seventh.

Dawson Bieliecki had two hits, Jordan Miller and Joey Evans cracked doubles with Evans plating a run for Franklinville.


CATTARAUGUS – North Collins scored four runs in the fourth inning without a hit and several miscues by Cattaraugus-Little Valley (3-3, 4-3) proved to be costly in a five-inning game.

North Collins had only four hits on the day, but managed to cross the plate thanks to seven errors and 10 walks by the Timberwolves.

Dylan Winter went three innings to get the win, striking out six with one walk.

For Cattaraugus-Little Valley, Justin Forster also pitched three innings with two strikeouts and seven walks in earning the loss.

On offense, Matt Hanft delivered three hits and two RBIs for the Timberwolves.
