Trojans Down Falconer-Frewsburg In Tennis

Southwestern boys tennis (4-1) topped Falconer-Frewsburg (0-3) on a blustery Wednesday afternoon thanks to wins in second singles, third singles, and both doubles matches.

In top singles, Falconer’s Cooper Miller pulled off a comeback after dropping the first set 6-0 to Matt Johnson, winning the final pair with a 7-6 tiebreak and a 7-5 final.

Quin White was the victor in second singles by virtue of a forfeit from Falconer-Frewsburg, while Rahim Karimi claimed third singles for the Trojans with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Trevor Dykstra.

Adam Girst and Lucas Przygodski claimed first doubles over Nathan Sanders and Justin Gilbert of Falconer (6-1, 6-1).

The second doubles meeting favored Derek Bower and Christian Hern of Southwestern over Christian Anderson and Steven Potts (6-1, 6-2).
