CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SHERIDAN-Mary Rigby, 65, of Angola was charged Friday with failure to yield the right of way. At approximately 9:35 a.m., Rigby was traveling southbound on Center Road and proceeded into the intersection of Route 39 after stopping at a stop sign. She collided into another vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Route 39 and had the right of way. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, but neither driver required medical attention. Rigby will appear in Sheridan Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Tyrone B. Hoosier, 29, of Jamestown was charged Friday with obstructing governmental administration. At approximately 12:30 p.m., Hoosier initiated a foot pursuit with city officers during a traffic stop. With the assistance of city residents, Hoosier was found and apprehended without incident. He was transported to jail where he is being held for arraignment. During the investigation, it was discovered that Hoosier was wanted for two warrants from Jamestown City Court.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Tyler W. Blair, 19, of Falconer and a 17-year-old juvenile were charged Monday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 8:47 p.m., Blair and the juvenile were detained at the Lakewood Wal-Mart taking merchandise from the store and attempting to leave the store without paying for it. Further investigation revealed that the two subjects had destroyed some of the merchandise. Both will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Robin L. Kestler, 53, of Ashville was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent of alcohol or more, failure to keep right and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 8:57 p.m., police spotted a vehicle heading west on Route 394 in Busti. The vehicle was swerving in its lane and crossing the center line of the roadway. Upon stopping, police determined that the driver-Kestler-was intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. She is due back in court at a later date.
Elizabeth A. Swanson, 18, of Kennedy was charged Friday with petit larceny. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Swanson was charged after stealing merchandise valued at $154.88 from Sears in Lakewood. She attempted to place the merchandise in her purse and exit the store. Swanson will appear in court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
LITTLE VALLEY-Zeno R. Whiteman, 23, of Little Valley was charged Tuesday with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 5:45 p.m., Whiteman was charged after assaulting an individual in a vehicle while two young children were seated in the rear of that vehicle. He is due back in Little Valley Court at a later date. In addition, Scott M. Milks Jr., 28, of Randolph was charged with second-degree harassment after he threatened and struck Whiteman later in the evening in connection with the same incident. He is due back in Little Valley Court at a later date.
