CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
DUNKIRK – DeMario A. Hough, 27, of Dunkirk was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, inadequate muffler and unregistered vehicle. At approximately 2:40 a.m., deputies observed a northbound vehicle on Route 60 dragging its muffler and showering sparks under the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, deputies determined that the vehicle was unregistered and the driver – Hough – was intoxicated. Hough will appear in Dunkirk Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Wanda L. Nazario, 38, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault. At approximately 12:07 a.m., officers responded to a fight call at the intersection of Winsor Street at Orchard Street. Investigation revealed that Nazario had assaulted a 22-year-old female which resulted in substantial injuries to the victim. Nazario was transported to city jail and is awaiting arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Shawn M. Garrett, 31, was charged Tuesday with petit larceny after he left Sears with merchandise worth $58 without paying for it. Garrett will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Sam I. Critzer, 27, was charged Tuesday with petit larceny after he left Sears with merchandise worth $172 without paying for it. Critzer will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
FARMERSVILLE – Kevin P. Haynes, 44, of Arcade was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal contempt after breaking an order of protection from Family Court. Haynes was arraigned in Farmersville court and was released after posting bail.
FRANKLINVILLE – Mathew L. Grimes, 20, of Salamanca was charged Monday with fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. He was arraigned at Franklinville Court and transported to jail in lieu of $3,000.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
MAYVILLE – Martin L. Wenzel, 27, of Mayville and Kyle C. Langer, 24, of Mayville were both charged on Saturday with unlawful growing of marijuana, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after state police checked a residence on Route 430 for a subject wanted on a warrant. Wenzel was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. A third man, Dustin D. Taves, 25 of Sherman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. All three are to appear in Chautauqua Court.
David P. Gendron, 42, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with felony driving while intoxicated after he ran a red light on Second Street in Jamestown. Gendron was transported to state police in Jamestown for processing where a BAC of .08 was obtained. Gendron was issued tickets returnable to Jamestown Court and released to a third party.
