Brooke Whitehill, 21, was charged with false personation on Saturday at 8:32 p.m. Jamestown Police officers performed a street check of Whitehill at 340 Allen St. Whitehill allegedly gave officers a false name. Officers determined she did so because she had a valid warrant out of Jamestown City Court. Whitehill was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail where she was awaiting arraignment.

Craig VanHook, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with public consumption of alcohol, unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Friday at 10:54 p.m. The Jamestown Police Department K-9 unit performed a check of two males walking out of the 7-Eleven on East Second Street. While doing so, officers allegedly observed VanHook consuming a beverage and placing it on top of a propane tank storage unit outside. Officers spoke with VanHook, who admitted to offers that he was drinking an alcoholic beverage, police said. He was then taken into custody without incident and officers of the third platoon arrived on the scene to assist the K-9 unit. After VanHook was taken into custody, officers allegedly located a quantity of marijuana, crack cocaine and hashish in VanHook’s possession. Officers transported him to the city jail and while VanHook was in the jail, officers located a small quantity of crack cocaine in a concealed area of VanHook’s pants, police said. Officers then allegedly located anther small quantity of crack cocaine in the back of the patrol vehicle. He is being held pending arraignment.

Kenneth Peters, 47, of Frewsburg, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, failure to stop at a stop sign and leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Saturday at 2:35 a.m. Officers were patrolling Falconer Street and allegedly observed a green pick-up truck failing to keep right. While doing so, officers could observe that a bumper from a different vehicle was attached to the back of the pick-up truck. Officers attempted to stop the truck, but it did not initially, police said. Officers then observed the truck fail to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Falconer and James streets. Officers were able to get the truck stopped on Falconer Street near Hopkins Avenue. Officers spoke with Peters, who appeared to be intoxicated. He was run through a field sobriety test, which he failed, police said. Peters was then placed under arrest. It was found he was involved in a property damage accident in the Bullfrog parking lot and had left the scene, police said. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and was being held pending arraignment.


LAKEWOOD- Timothy Cook, 26, of Jamestown was charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Saturday at 8:09 p.m. While on patrol, a Lakewood-Busti Police officer noticed Cook walking behind the Lakewood Village Center. Cook was stopped and was found to have an active warrant through the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. While placing Cook under arrest, he was allegedly in possession of a quantity of OxyContin pills and syringes. He was charged and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail. Cook will return to Busti Court at a later date.



SILVER CREEK- Eric Salisbury, 47, of Amherst, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment on Saturday at 12:20 p.m. It is alleged that Salisbury ensued in an altercation with the victim that occurred in front of a child. He was released and is to appear in Silver Creek Court on a later date.

POMFRET- Jonathan Golden, 28, of Brocton, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, speeding, uninspected motor vehicle and refusal to submit to a breath test on Saturday at 2:15 a.m. Golden was stopped for allegedly speeding on Webster Road in Pomfret. Further investigation led to Golden being arrested for felony driving while intoxicated. He was additionally charged for possession a gravity knife. Golden was arraigned in Pomfret Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.



SALAMANCA- Nicholas Stoll, 35, of Salamanca, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Thursday at 6:28 p.m. Stoll was arrested on a Salamanca City Court warrant for second-degree criminal contempt. Stoll was processed and turned over to Salamanca Police. He is to appear at a later date to answer the charge.

LITTLE VALLEY- Jacob Winshp, 23, of Little Valley, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant issued from Little Valley Court and was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after a traffic stop in Little Valley on Friday at 6 p.m. He was arraigned in Little Valley court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $800 bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
