Police Seeking Person Of Interest In CVS Robbery
The Jamestown Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a person of interest in connection with the armed robbery of the CVS on South Main Street on March 26.
Dennis J. Harmon, 29, of Jamestown is wanted on an outstanding warrant for violation of drug treatment court by Jamestown City Court. Police are calling him a person of interest in the CVS robbery and believe he may be in the Jamestown area.
Anyone who may know where Harmon may be is asked to call the JPD at 483-7537 or the department’s anonymous tip line 483-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
Thomas E. Lawson, 23, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree armed robbery for his involvement in the armed robberies at the North Main Street 7-Eleven on March 24 and the South Main Street CVS.
“It all came down to tips from the public,” said Captain Robert F. Samuelson, division commander of the Jamestown Police Department, on Thursday night.
Investigators, after locating and questioning Lawson at Van’s Texas Hots, obtained a search warrant and found stolen items from the CVS robbery in the basement. These items included prescription pill bottles, pills, opiate products and cigarettes.
Lawson was taken into custody without incident.
A third robbery that occurred at the East Second Street 7-Eleven on April 1 is not believed to be connected with the other two robberies, police said. The suspect in the April 1 robbery is still at large, and is described as a 6-foot to 6-foot-2-inch black man with a thin build.
