Bluegrass Jam Set For Thursday

LAKEWOOD – Lakewood Legion Post 1286 will host a Bluegrass Jam on Thursday from 7-10 p.m. The kitchen will be open with specials and snack menu from 6-9. On Sunday, there will be a herring breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other breakfast choices will be available. Chicken and biscuits and snack menu will be available from 1-7 p.m. Music will be provided by Gina V and Barry, from 4-8 p.m. All members and guests are welcome, please sign in.

Outdoor Club To Meet Thursday

WARREN, Pa. – On Thursday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hold its quarterly planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church at 109 W. Third Ave. in Warren. They will be scheduling events for April, May and June. Those who would like to host an event but cannot make it to the meeting should email the event to john.young@eaglezip.net. Pancake Meal Set For Saturday

FORESTVILLE – The public is welcome to an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Fairbanks Maple, 9265 Putnam Road, Forestville, NY 14062-9655. Adults cost $6.50 and children younger than 8 are $3.50. Members of the NY Forest Owners Association will be on hand. If you have 1 acre or 100 acres, NYFOA can help you make the best use of your woodlands. For more information, come to the breakfast. Westfield Seniors To Dine April 10

WESTFIELD – The Westfield Senior Citizens will meet for dinner on Thursday, April 10, in the YWCA. Dinner will be provided by the Westfield Women’s Organization. Sharon Ackendorf will speak on the internal workings and daily servings at the soup kitchen. The seniors met recently for lunch provided by the Westfield Union Relief. Martha Bills discussed dredging at the Barcelona Harbor and plans for the pier. Shirley Kolpien presided. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were read. Members attending received copies of updated bylaws. Celebrating birthdays were Jean Stebell, Enid Beadle and Kolpien. New members, age 59 and over, are welcome to attend meetings. Pasta Night

Set For April 12

Pasta Night with fresh homemade Italian sauces will be featured at a special dinner at the Elks Club, 379 E. Fourth St. on Saturday, April 12, at 5 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $12 per adult and $6 per child under 12 with the proceeds being donated to establish an Elks scholarship honoring the memory of longtime Elks member, Gino Micciche. Panama Parents To Host Sale

LAKEWOOD – The parents of Panama Central School’s Class of 2014 will host a rummage sale fundraiser on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Busti-Lakewood Rec Center, 9 W. Summit Ave., Lakewood.
