City Parking Switch Goes Into Effect

With monthly alternate parking in Jamestown effective today, vehicles need to be parked on the even-numbered side of the street. According to the Jamestown Police Department, vehicles should be parked only on the odd-numbered side of the street during odd-numbered months and only on the even-numbered side of the street during even-numbered months. Vehicles should be moved at 10 a.m. on the first day of each month. No grace period is given.

Outdoor Club To Meet Thursday

WARREN, Pa. – On Thursday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hold its quarterly planning meet at 6:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church at 109 W. Third Ave. in Warren, Pa. The AOC will be scheduling events for April, May and June. If you would like to host an event but cannot make it to the meeting email your event to john.young@eaglezip.net. BUSTI- The Busti-Hamlet Development group will have its spring meeting on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Busti Fire Hall.

Beekeepers To Meet Thursday

Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Frank Bratt Ag Center, Turner Road, Airport Hill, Jamestown. Topics include: early spring management of the colonies; bears and bear fences; availability of package bees and nucs; and discussion of topics for future presentations. All are welcome.

Begins Thursday

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library announces that Children’s Spring Storytime will begin on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. It will be held every Thursday through May 8. The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road. Call the library with any questions at 487-1281.

Lenten Mid-Week Services Continue

First Presbyterian Church continues its Lenten midweek services on Wednesday. Member Marge Cochrane will speak on her “Faith Journey” at noon in Bellinger Chapel. Lunch is served after worship. The church is located at 509 Prendergast Ave. in Jamestown.

Panama Parents To Host Sale

LAKEWOOD – Parents of the Panama Central School Class of 2014 will host a rummage sale fundraiser on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Busti Lakewood Rec Center, 9 W. Summit Ave., Lakewood.

South Dayton To Host Easter Party

SOUTH DAYTON – The South Dayton Fire Department will host a ham, chocolate and Easter basket party from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday at the South Dayton Activities Hall. The event will include ham and Easter basket giveaways and free refreshments. Proceeds benefit the South Dayton Volunteer Fire Co.
