Not All Girls Are Victims

To The Readers’ Forum:

I was glad to see Michelle Malkin’s op-ed article today (March 19, 2014).

Girls today need to see that they are not victims. They have the power to make their own decisions. To forbid the word bully ignores the real meaning of bully – someone who would hurt or demean others. Many of today’s heroes would have been considered bullies looking at the ultra liberals who want to forbid “bossy.” Just think of the original founders of our country, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, the women who fought for the right to vote.

Girls and young women, speak what you believe, listen to other sides, decide what you believe is correct, and go with it. There will always be people who disagree with you and call you names, but follow your beliefs.
