CCIDA Director Daly To Retire

William Daly, administrative director/CEO of the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) and director of the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development, has announced that he will be retiring effective May 31.

Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan was notified of Daly’s decision over the weekend.

“I want to thank Bill Daly for his dedication and service to the citizens of Chautauqua County,” said Horrigan. “Bill skillfully guided the reins of Chautauqua County economic development during a very challenging time in our nation’s history and has developed highly successful relationships with our area businesses and economic development community. His tenure of service is one that he can be very proud of. Over the next few weeks, I will form a search committee that will be charged with finding the absolute best economic development professional to lead our county’s IDA and the Department of Planning and Economic Development. Depending on the timing of the selection and availability of a top quality candidate, I will most likely appoint an interim director to ensure we have solid leadership throughout the transition process.”
