CARTS To Run New Route
CARTS will run a dedicated shuttle service every 30 minutes from the Gateway Train Station on Second Street to the parking area in the Riverwalk Center parking lot, next to the Oriental Star, during the Annual Spring Home and Recreation Expo sponsored by Media One Group from noon-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Patrons can also attend the Jamestown Renaissance Corps. GROW Jamestown Garden Fair at the Dr. Lillian Vitanza Ney Renaissance Center.
Youngsville Class Of ’69 To Meet
YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – The Youngsville High School Class of 1969 alumni will hold a planning meeting for a 45th reunion in the Youngsville American Legion on Tuesday at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Spring Tree Orders Available
The Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation District is accepting orders for the 2014 Spring Tree & Shrub Bare Root Seedling Sale. Several species of conifers, hardwoods, shrubs and berries are available, as well as assortment packets for reforestation, wildlife and erosion control. Orders are accepted on a first come, first serve basis until March 31. Seedlings will be distributed in April. To Host Dinner
FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Class of 2014 is hosting a spaghetti dinner on Saturday in the school cafeteria from 4-7 p.m. The proceeds will benefit the Class of 2014 All Night Graduation Party. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the high school or at the door the night of the dinner.
Air On Channel 5
MAYVILLE – Raphael Warnock’s Chautauqua lecture “The Divided Mind of the Black Church” will be shown on Access Channel 5. The program will air at 3 and 9 p.m.each day beginning on Saturday with the last airing on March 28. Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman and Westfield areas.
Carutus To Appear On Show
MAYVILLE – “Senior Report with Reed Powers” will have Ed Carutus as the guest Saturday. Carutus, an educator, will discuss the Common Core curriculum. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Falconer, Forestville, Hanover, Irving, Jamestown, Lakewood and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

CELORON – The Corry and Jamestown Coin Clubs will hold their 15th Collective Coin Show on Sunday in the Herman Kent Post 777, Celoron, corner of Fairmount and Jackson avenues, WE, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free. Many coin dealers will be available to buy, sell and appraise United States, ancient and foreign coins. Prizes of gold and silver coins will be given away during a drawing at 3:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit both the Corry and Jamestown Coin Clubs.
