Alice C. Howard
CATTARAUGUS – Alice C. Howard, 87, of North Franklin Street, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Gowanda Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Gowanda, N.Y., the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Thoen) Quinnan.
Mrs. Howard was married to Harold Wickham, who predeceased her and she was married to Erwin Ho-ward, who also predeceased her.
She was employed at Welsh’s in Westfield, and held many jobs in her 23 years residing in Florida. She also owned and operated the Summit Lodge in Maple Springs, N.Y.
She was a member of St. John’s Church in Cat-taraugus, N.Y., and volunteered with the Girl Scouts.
Mrs. Howard is survived by three sons: Thomas (Susan) Wickham of Gerry, N.Y., Daniel Wickham of Cattaraugus, N.Y., and Grant (Cherie) Wickham of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Kathleen (Ronald) Trask of Sugartown, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Cook.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. from St. John’s Church in Cattaraugus, N.Y.
Burial will be in Haynes City Cemetery in Haynes City, Fla.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
