Railroaders To Present Speaker
Steve Regruth of Jefferson, Ohio, will speak on the Ashtabula Carson & Jefferson Railroad when the Independent Railroaders meet on Friday in the First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler St., Jamestown. ‘Backstage’ To Begin Friday
SHERMAN – “Backstage” by Pat Cook will be performed in Sherman Central School’s John Butler Auditorium on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. The cast includes seven seniors who will be performing for the last time at Sherman.
Dinner Is Friday
The American-Scandinavian Heritage Foundation will hold a dinner on Friday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. The event is open to members and guests only. Reservations are required; call 487-1849.

Jefferson Middle School will hold its annual open house tonight from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Parents and families of all fifth- through eighth-grade students are encouraged to attend.
Indoor Yard Sale Begins Saturday
MAYVILLE – An indoor yard sale will be held at Chautauqua Suites, 215 W. Lake Road, Mayville, on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $1 at the door, which includes entrance into a 50/50 drawing. The charity for March is Hospice.

Jamestown Community College’s Jamestown Campus will hold Explore JCC, an open house for high school students and others, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. A campus fair featuring information on academic programs and student services will be held in the Student Union from 10-11:30 a.m. Information sessions covering a range of topics will be held from 10:05-11:15, followed by guided campus tours at 11:30. Blue Star Mothers To Meet Saturday
MAYVILLE – The Lake Erie Chapter 4 of the Blue Star Mothers of America will be holding their monthly meeting on Saturday at the Mayville American Legion, 144 S. Erie St., Mayville, N.Y. at 10 a.m. The upcoming Easter care package mailing that will be packed and mailed to our deployed troops will be discussed. The Blue Star Mothers will be packing boxes on April 5 at Zion Lutheran Church, 45 Falconer St., Frewsburg, starting at 9 a.m. Anyone wanting to support or join them is welcome to attend. The Blue Star Mothers have collection boxes located around the county where donations for these care packages are being gathered.
