CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
DUNKIRK – Loren Jimerson, 23, of Irving was charged Monday with possession of marijuana. At approximately 8:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Vineyard Drive. Investigation revealed that the driver – Jimerson – was in possession of 15 individually wrapped bags of marijuana and a quantity of cash. He will appear in Dunkirk Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Joseph M. Macha, 55, of Jamestown was charged Monday with second-degree criminal contempt. At approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to Covenant Manor on 23 W. Third St. for a report of an unwanted person at one of the apartments. Upon arrival, officers found that Macha had entered an apartment whose resident had an order of protection against him. Macha was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail. He is pending arraignment.
Henry J. Meyers, 45, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 1:02 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Allen Street near Winsor Street. Investigation revealed that Meyers was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a small amount of heroin. He was taken into custody and transported to the city jail pending arraignment.
Mark Kelemen, 56, of Jamestown was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, obstructing, criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence. At approximately 10:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Harrison Street near Winsor Street. Investigation revealed that the driver – Kelemen – was intoxicated. While in custody, he attempted to dispose of a controlled substance. Kelemen was transported to city jail without incident and is being held pending arraignment.
Shawn S. Tuller, 25, of Falconer was charged Monday with driving while ability impaired on drugs, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to stay in lane. At approximately 12:52 p.m., officers were sent to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of East Second and Buffalo streets. Upon arrival, police spoke with a witness who reported that a driver – later identified as Tuller – was operating a vehicle erratically on East Second Street and then side-swiped the witness’s vehicle. Investigation revealed that Tuller was under the influence of drugs. He was transported to the city jail and is pending arraignment. No injuries resulted from the collision.
Joshua W. Lafler, 21, was charged Monday with petit larceny. At approximately 4:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to 12 Partridge St. for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female victim that stated Lafler had taken property from the residence that belonged to her. Officers located Lafler a short time later and recovered the stolen property. He was transported to the city jail without incident and is pending arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SALAMANCA – Darrly T. Shongo, 30, and Girlie M. Contreras, 23, both of Salamanca, were charged Tuesday with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration. Shongo and Contreras were arrested for refusing to cooperate and disrupting the complainant during a larceny investigation. They were issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.
