Poetry Slam Winner Leads Library Event

Brandon Williamson, founder of Pure Ink Poetry Slam of Buffalo, is in charge of a poetry slam at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prendergast Library.

Participants will compete for T-shirts by presenting a poem by Emily Dickinson and one original work for scoring by judges.

The Faculty Student Association will provide refreshments.

Williamson was voted Best Poet of the Month at a Poetry Slam in Toronto. His group has also won the Empire State Team Poetry Slam and the Q.E.W. International Poetry Slam.
