Bridge League Names Winners
Pat Fincher and Bill Kuppinger were the first-place winners at the March 13 regular weekly game of the Jamestown Area Bridge League. Shari Terwilliger and Shelley Dahlie took second, with Barbara Schuckers and Bill Evert finishing third, with four tables in play. The league plays on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at Comfort Today, 17 Gifford Ave., West Ellicott. There is ample parking in the Tanglewood lot across the street. The league is ACBL sanctioned and points are awarded, but ACBL membership is not required. All bridge players are welcome. For more information, phone 386-2301.
Leon Board To Meet Wednesday
LEON – The Leon Town Board has rescheduled their monthly meeting to Wednesday at the Leon Town Hall at 7 p.m.
Library To Show ‘Gravity’ Film
FREWSBURG – Myers Memorial Library will be showing “Gravity” Wednesday at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. in the library’s community room. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star in this spacewalk-gone-wrong thriller. “Gravity” is rated PG-13 for intense perilous sequences, some disturbing images and brief strong language. The library is on the corner of Ivory Street and Falconer Street in Frewsburg. Handicap entrance on Ivory Street. All movies are sponsored by Frewsburg Pharmacy.
Poland Seniors To Take Trip
Town of Poland Senior Citizens will hold a trip to The Riverside Inn and Dinner Theater, Cambridge Springs, Pa., to see the production of ”Over the River and Through the Woods” on April 22. Reservations must be made by Sunday. The cost is $71 per person. Members who have not received a future trip sheet should contact Sally Canniff, trip chairwoman, at 358-4978. Non members are welcome.

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 267 will hold its next regular meeting on Friday, at Friendly’s Restaurant in Jamestown, beginning at 11:15 a.m. President Arnie Zdrojewski reminds members that this is an important meeting as delegates to the NYS Federation Convention and to the National Convention will be held. Also, a review and discussion of the recently released Future of NARFE Committee will begin. All current retired federal employees are invited to attend.
Library Storytime Set For Thursday
FREWSBURG – Myers Memorial Library Preschool Storytime will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. This week’s theme will be bears. A snack will be provided by “Country Bear,” the main character in the book “Country Bear’s Good Neighbor” by Larry Dane Brimner.
