Brothers By Choice Hosts Stewards Of Children Workshop

Brothers by Choice hosted a recent Stewards of Children workshop at the Fifth Wheel, Jamestown.

Brothers by Choice is an organized, dedicated, compassionate group of people who support local causes. They are serious about protecting children and preventing child abuse.

The Brothers by Choice association boasted 28 members in attendance, now better able to protect children. The training was conducted by the Child Advocacy Program’s Jana McDermott, executive director, and Karen Yeversky, training coordinator. CAP was contacted by Brothers by Choice, who are planning a motorcycle run fundraiser for CAP on June 21.

Stewards of Children offers real solutions, examples and practical advice designed to encourage and empower adults to prevent child sexual abuse. Stewards of Children empowers adults to make the tough choices, take the risks and support each other’s efforts.

CAP’s Stewards of Children facilitators offer flexible dates, times and locations to accommodate most training venues including youth-serving organizations, schools, churches, local businesses and clubs. Stewards of Children is appropriate for all adults. Contact CAP at 338-9844 to host a Stewards of Children workshop or to attend trainings already scheduled.
