HARMONY – Ronald C. Bartlett, 42, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated unlicensed operation Tuesday on Spooner Road. Deputies observed a vehicle parked on the side of the road near the Route 474 intersection. After deputies checked the well being of the vehicle’s occupants, they identified Bartlett as the driver. The investigation led to the DWI charge, and a New York State Police Information Network check showed Bartlett had two previous DWI convictions in the past 10 years, making Tuesday’s arrest a felony. Police said Bartlett had a revoked driver’s license for a previous alcohol-related offense, resulting in the felony aggravated unlicensed operation charge. Bartlett was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail, police said.


OLEAN – Investigators seized heroin, marijuana, packaging material, drug paraphernalia and money from an Olean residence Tuesday night. The investigation, conducted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, resulted in the seizure of more than $1,000 worth of heroin. Joshua M. Small, 22, of Buffalo was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and Justin D. Vreeland, 32, of Olean was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. Police said the defendants are awaiting arraignment in Olean City Court. Investigators were assisted by the Olean Police Department. More charges are pending the completion of the investigation, police said.


ALLEGANY – Christopher M. McCullough, 20, of Allegany was charged with petit larceny March 1 after he was caught attempting to steal a 30 pack of beer, police said. He was issued an appearance ticket.

ALLEGANY – Danielle M. Devole, 18, was charged with second-degree assault March 7. Devole was processed and released on her own recognizance and will appear in Allegany Court, police said.

RANDOLPH – Clint E. Vinzant, 20, of Ellington was taken into custody for violating a probation warrant issued by Randolph Court, police said. Vinzant was arraigned in Randolph Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.
