Waternan Awarded Alfred State Scholarship

ALFRED – A Chautauqua County resident has been awarded $6,900 a year for the “Presidential Scholarship” to attend Alfred State.

Aaren Waterman of South Dayton is slated to graduate in 2014 from Pine Valley Central School and intends to enroll in the veterinary technology program.

The Presidential Scholarship provides free room and is awarded to students who possess a 90 or better cumulative high school average through their junior year and who have achieved a minimum SAT score of 1,150 or a composite ACT score of 25. Recipients must maintain a required grade point average to continue to receive free room in subsequent semesters.
