Silver Creek Man Found Guilty In Gun Sale Case

MAYVILLE – A jury has found Benjamin Wassell of Silver Creek guilty on all three counts against him.

The verdict was announced at the Chautauqua County Court around 1:15 p.m. Wassell was found guilty of two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a firearm and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a firearm.

Deliberations began Friday at 11 a.m. and went through to 7 p.m. before beginning again this morning.
