Five Fire Departments Respond To Bemus Point Blaze

BEMUS POINT- A possible electrical fire broke out at a home on Driftwood Road in Bemus Point on Wednesday afternoon.

At 12:25 p.m., a fire in the wall was reported. A woman and her dog were in the home, and after 30 minutes of battling the flames, the damage was contained to one corner of house, streching from downstairs to upstairs. Nobody was hurt, and an investigation is currently ongoing to determine what started the fire.

Bemus Point was assisted by Fluvanna, Ellery Center, Gerry and Sinclairville fire departments.
