Update 2:38 p.m.: Four Students Released From WCA After Clymer Bus Goes Off Road

PANAMA No serious injuries were reported after a Clymer Central School bus carrying eight students went off the road Tuesday morning at 8:45.

According to Bert Lictus, superintendent, the bus was transporting students to the Erie 2 BOCES Hewes Educational Center in Ashville when it left the road approximately one mile east of Panama on Route 474.

Lictus said four students were transported to WCA Hospital for precautionary purposes at the request of emergency medical technicians on-site.

“It didn’t appear there were any serious injuries,” Lictus said. “(Any injuries sustained) appeared to be very minor, but they’re students and we need to take every precaution.”

Lictus said an investigation into what caused the incident is underway.

As of 2:30 p.m., Lictus said all four students had been released from observation at WCA.
