City Woman Sent To WCA Hospital Following Car-Pedestrian Accident
A Jamestown woman sustained a broken arm and leg Monday after being struck by a vehicle on a city crosswalk.
According to Jamestown police, a 49-year-old Jamestown woman was walking across Main Street, when she was struck by a 1991 Chevy Blazer making a left turn onto Main Street from East Third Street.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:37 p.m.
The driver of the Blazer, Steven Nowell, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with failure to yield crosswalk and failure to yield right of way to pedestrian.
Skuggen was transported to WCA Hospital. No other injuries were reported.
