STAR Swimmers Post Personal Bests

Local STAR swimmers competed at the Niagara District Championship Qualifiers at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic Center recently and five posted personal bests.

Anna Jones (10-U girls) improved all her personals bests swimming the 200 freestyle in 2:43.24, dropping 18.61 seconds; the 50 freestyle in 32.41, dropping 2.02 seconds; the 100 breaststroke in 1:41.44, dropping 2.37 seconds; and the 100 freestyle in1:12.79, dropping 6.08 seconds.

Mackenzie Quinn (11-U girls) also saw several personal bests swimming the 50 freestyle in 29.18 (minus .31 seconds), 100 IM in1:15.17 (minus 1.69 seconds), the 50 backstroke in34.88 (minus 2.12 seconds) and the 50 butterfly in 31.50 (minus 1.2 seconds)

Teagan Shedd (9-U girls) swam the 100 breast in 1:45.46, breaking her personal best by 3.79 seconds, and the 50 back in 43.39 (minus 1.98 seconds)

Cooper Thomas (11-U boys) earned a fifth place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 31.82.

Lily Uebbing (9-U girls) had four personal bests with a 3:37.44 (minus 7.19) in the 200 IM, a 47.88 in the 50 breaststroke (minus1.16 seconds), a 36.51 in the 50 freestyle (minus 2.25 seconds ) and a 1:40.46 in the 100IM.
