JCC Digital Video Wins Marketing Award

“McSpacey Investigates,” a digital video exploring Banned Books Week at Jamestown Community College’s Hultquist Library, earned a gold Education Digital Marketing Award from the Higher Education Marketing Report.

The video, written and produced by Isaac McQuistion, JCC’s Web content manager, was filmed by Vincent Gerace in 2012 while he was a student at JCC. Gerace will graduate from Full Sail University with a degree in film in May 2014.

Cynthia McKane, JCC reference librarian, coordinated the students and library staff who were featured in the video which examined the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week is sponsored annually by the American Library Association and other organizations to raise awareness about the freedom to read.
