Raiders Play In State Semifinals Today
The Jamestown Raiders are in the semifinals of the Open School Tournament after recording a 1-1 record on Saturday at the New York State Club School Hockey Tournament on Long Island.
The Raiders began by losing a 6-3 decision to Lynbrook as Gibson Stuart, Billy Krywy and Dylan Bergman scored the goals.
Stuart tallied an unassisted goal, Krywy was assisted by Stuart and Bergman was assisted by Michael Mammoser.
Then, the Raiders beat Manhasset, 7-4, and will meet the same team at 8 a.m. today in the semifinals. A win there vaults the Raiders into the championship game at 5 p.m.
R.J. Keith had two goals while Griffin Noon, Rick Hasselman, Tristan Myers, Bergman, Krywy contributed goals for the winners.
Keith’s scores were unassisted and by Noon, Noon scored from Krywy and Hasselman, Myers from Keith, Bergman from Krywy, Krywy from Noon and Cole Munson while Hasselman tallied unassisted.
Hans Shober was the goalie for Jamestown.
