Area Police Reports


HANOVER – Michael A. Allen, 38, of Forestville was charged Sunday with moving from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable and prudent, consumption of alcohol in vehicle and felony driving while intoxicated. At approximately 9:47 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle that had gone off the roadway into a snow bank. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver – Allen – was intoxicated. Allen had a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years making the offense a felony. He will appear in Hanover Court on a later date.

SHERIDAN – Jacob D. Bacho, 26, of Silver Creek was charged Monday with unsafe passing and driving while intoxicated. At approximately 12:13 a.m., deputies responded to Route 5 for a motor vehicle accident. Upon investigation, it was determined that a vehicle driven by Bacho attempted to pass another vehicle, but lost control, struck a ditch and rolled onto its side. Bacho was found to be intoxicated. He will appear in Sheridan Court on a later date.

STOCKTON – Amanda M. Miller, 31, of Kennedy was charged Saturday with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, backing unsafely, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating while registration suspended or revoked and operation without insurance. At approximately 6:30 a.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred on Bruyer Road where one driver left the scene. It was determined that Miller was the registered owner and operator of the vehicle at the time of the accident. Miller was later located and charged. She will appear in Stockton Court at a later date.


CHARLOTTE – Krista M. Gibbons, 35, of Sinclairville, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated. State Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 64 and determined there was a strong odor of alcohol inside Gibbons’ vehicle. Gibbons was charged and transported to State Police in Jamestown after taking field tests. She was released to a third party. Gibbons will appear in Charlotte Court at a later date.

MINA – Michael W. Brant, 37, of Warren, Pa., was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding. State Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 426 after observing Brant’s vehicle speeding. A computer check of Brant showed him to have an active warrant out of Jamestown for failure to pay a fine and that he was also suspended in New York state. He was arraigned in Mina Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $750 bail.
