Youth Football President Accused Of Stealing $7,000 From Program
BUSTI – The president of the Southwestern Trojans midget football program was charged Thursday for allegedly stealing $7,000 in funds raised during the 2013 football season.
According to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department, Tracy J. Parker, 44, of Busti, who was responsible for depositing the program’s fundraising money into a separate bank account, allegedly took money out of the account for her own personal use.
Further investigation by police and football officials revealed that she stole approximately $7,000 from the program.
Parker was charged with third-degree felony grand larceny and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $3,000 bail.
Parker had been recently named the president of the Southwestern program after it joined the Lakeshore Midget League. The program reportedly held numerous fundraisers to get the program onto its feet.
