CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
DUNKIRK – An unidentified youth was charged Wednesday with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment. At approximately 5:45 p.m., deputies executed an arrest warrant issued from the Dunkirk Court. The warrant and charges stem from an incident on Monday in with the above youth allegedly punched and kicked another individual, threatened the individual with a knife and threw an object at the individual’s vehicle causing damage. The youth was arraigned in Dunkirk Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 cash/$10,000 property bond.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jimmy A. Schauers Jr., 29, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with second-degree menacing. At approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to 183 McKinley Ave. for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers detained Schauers after a victim said he allegedly displayed what was believed to be a handgun during a verbal argument. A BB gun was located and recovered by officers. Schauers was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident and is currently awaiting arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
LITTLE VALLEY – Christine L. White, 27, of Olean was charged by deputies Tuesday at approximately 5:55 p.m. on a warrant issued from the Olean Court. White was turned over to the Olean Police Department.
SALAMANCA – Jared S. Wisniewski, 34, of Cattaraugus was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent of 1 percent or higher and failing to keep right. At approximately 1:41 a.m., Wisniewski was charged after allegedly swerving to miss an animal and ending up in a ditch. He was processed at Salamanca Police Department and released on uniform traffic tickets. He will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
BUSTI – Laci J. Lawson, 27, of Ashville was charged Thursday with felony second-degree forgery and criminal impersonation. At a traffic stop in January, Lawson used someone else’s name and received a ticket for an uninspected motor vehicle. The impersonation was discovered when the victim received a notice of a $93 fine due in Busti Court. State Police were contacted and the investigation led to Lawson being apprehended. She was arraigned in Busti Court and is to appear again at a later date.
NORTH HARMONY – Joshua Hintress, 25, of Dewittville was charged Wednesday with drug possession. Troopers performed a traffic stop on Huntress for a loud exhaust on Route 394 in North Harmony. State Police, assisted by K-9 Kubi, found Huntress to be in possession of marijuana. A computer check showed him to have an active warrant out of Jamestown. Huntress was issued appearance tickets returnable to North Harmony Court and turned over to Jamestown Police Department on the warrant charge of failure to appear for a preliminary hearing.
