Area Police Reports


NORTH HARMONY-Ryan P. Somers, 34, of Lakewood, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI per se, failure to keep right and failure to change address on license. At approximately 3:11 p.m., Somers was driving eastbound on Route 394 when he allegedly crossed over the center of the roadway and struck a vehicle driven by Todd Keefe. Somers’ vehicle sustained extensive front end damage and Keefe’s vehicle was forced off the roadway into a yard. Upon investigation, it was determined that Somers was intoxicated. He will appear in North Harmony Court at a later date.


Jason L. Burger, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance outside of original container and failure to keep right. At approximately 10:04 p.m., officers on East Fairmount Avenue observed a vehicle cross the center lines of the roadway obstructing two lanes of traffic. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver-Burger-was in possession of multiple controlled substances and marijuana. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.


MANSFIELD-Elizabeth J. Colby, 31, of Lancaster, was charged with DWI common law and DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more. At approximately 5:10 a.m., Colby was charged following a property damage accident. It was determined that she was intoxicated. Colby will appear in Mansfield Court at a later date.

ALLEGANY-Douglas A. Weinman, 45, of Olean, was charged Sunday with DWI common law, aggravated DWI of .18 percent or higher and failure to maintain lane. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Weinman was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Upon investigation, it was determined that Weinman was intoxicated. He was transported to Olean Police Department for processing and released later that morning. He will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.


RANDOLPH-Jia H. You, 19, of Rockville, Md., was charged Saturday with felony fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding. State Police performed a traffic stop on You for speeding on I-86. A search of the vehicle by troopers along with K-9 Kubi resulted in the seizure of five grams of concentrated hashish, smoking devices containing marijuana residue and approximately 4 grams of marijuana. You was arraigned in Cold Spring Court and committed to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail. He will appear in Randolph Court at a later date.
