Area Police Reports


Ralph A. Robbins, 37, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. At approximately 5:04 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Steele Street for failing to keep right. Further investigation revealed that the driver-Robbins-was intoxicated. Robbins was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail. A chemical breath test revealed that his blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit. He is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.


Roy W. Spontaneo, 86, of Frewsburg was charged Thursday with petit larceny. At approximately 7:30 p.m., Spontaneo was charged at the Lakewood Wal-Mart for allegedly stealing $7.96 in merchandise. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Alberto J. Acevedo, 23, of Jamestown was charged Friday with petit larceny and trespass. At approximately 11 a.m., Acevedo was charged with taking merchandise from Walmart without paying for it. He was previously warned that he is no longer welcome at Walmart due to previous larcenies.


EAST OTTO – William E. Corbin, 39, of Otto was charged Monday with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. At approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies charged Corbin following an incident in East Otto. No further details were released. He will appear in East Otto Court at a later date.

SPRINGVILLE – Jerome M. Hayes, 27, of Buffalo was charged Wednesday on a county court bench warrant at approximately 8:30 p.m. He was received from the United States Marshalls and transported to Cattaraugus County Jail where he is being held without bail.

SALAMANCA – John H. Hudson Jr., 29, of Salamanca was charged Wednesday on a violation of probation warrant issued out of Cattaraugus County Court. He was transported to county jail without bail and is due back in court at a later date.

SOUTH DAYTON – Heidi L. Kutschke, 41, of South Dayton was charged on a Cattaraugus County Family Court warrant. Kutschke was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.

GREAT VALLEY – Deborah A. Steckler, 48, of Killbuck was charged Wednesday with DWI and unsafe backing. Following a motor vehicle crash at approximately 1 a.m., deputies charged Steckler for being intoxicated. She will appear in Great Valley Court at a later date.


SALAMANCA – Katie L. Stebbins, 24, of Salamanca was charged with one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The charges were the result from an incident where Stebbins sold prescription pills to another person. She appeared in Salamanca Court on Friday.


LEON – Terri J. Cartalano, 51, of Cattaraugus was charged Wednesday with DWI. State Police stopped to check a disabled vehicle on Route 62 and determined that Cartalano was intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that she had a BAC of .09 percent. She will appear in Leon Court at a later date.

Richard E. Williams Jr., 37, of Hinsdale was charged Friday with first-degree criminal impersonation and second-degree aggravated harassment. The investigation revealed that Williams contacted a women’s employer in Jamestown, attempting to discredit the woman and get her fired. Williams stated on several occasions the he was a New York State Trooper. Williams was arraigned in Jamestown Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail to reappear at a later date.
