CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
DUNKIRK-Michael J. Koresko, 61, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with failing to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher. At approximately 1:52 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle that failed to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle. Upon investigation, it was determined that Koresko was intoxicated. He will appear in Dunkirk Court at a later date.
MAYVILLE-Kenneth Ecker, 67, of Mayville, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated common law and DWI per se. At approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies received a report of a possible intoxicated driver leaving the Kwik Fill in Mayville. Upon investigation, it was determined that Ecker was intoxicated. He was arraigned in Chautauqua Court.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Richard E. Johnson, 61, of Lakewood, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and inadequate headlights. At approximately 7:53 p.m., a vehicle was traveling westbound on East Summit Avenue with inadequate head lights. Upon stopping the vehicle, deputies found Johnson to be intoxicated. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Christopher S. Skuggen, 18, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana, speed in zone, drivers view obstructed and unlicensed operator. At approximately 7:29 p.m., an officer allegedly observed a vehicle on East Fairmount Avenue traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon further investigation, Skuggen was found to be unlicensed and in possession of marijuana. His view was also obstructed. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Katie L. Melaro, 31, of Allegany, was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 5 p.m., Melaro was charged at her residence following an investigation of a domestic dispute that took place there. She will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.
Osmond E. Hernandez, 30, of Humphrey, was charged Friday with second-degree aggravated harassment. At approximately 9 p.m., Humphrey was charged on an Olean arrest warrant and was turned over to the Olean Police Department.
Martin W. Twoguns, 30, of Gowanda, was charged Saturday on a family court warrant. At approximately 6:30 p.m., Twoguns was transported to Persia Court for arraignment. He was then remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $750 bail and is due back in court at a later date.
Casey L. Vaughn, 20, of Cattaraugus, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with BAC of .08 percent or higher, failure to maintain lane and uninspected motor vehicle. At approximately 11:36 p.m., Vaughn was stopped for driving down the shoulder of Route 353. He was administered a field sobriety test and charged with DWI. He will appear in New Albion Court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Lindsey M. Smith, 25, was charged Saturday with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and other traffic charges. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on Falconer Street after observing Smith’s vehicle swerving in and out of the lane. Upon interviewing Smith, troopers detected a strong odor of alcohol. She was transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown for processing and found to have a BAC of .20 percent.
